1. Social Skills Flash Cards
Since I teach special education, I do a lot of social emotional learning with my class. I always feel the best way to teach social-emotional learning is through games. Not only can you work on skills like expected vs. unexpected behaviors etc. but you can also work on peer interactions, taking turns, winning vs. losing etc. Also, it feels less like a "chore" for students. This is a game I've been using for years. It has different scenarios for school that students have to decide what they would do. It opens up great conversations!
2. EZ Grader
Raise your hand if you remember seeing your teachers use them when you were in school?! I sure did! I don't think a tool like this will ever not be useful when grading paper/pencil tasks. It saves all the calculations of grading and makes it SO easy!! No wonder it's been around for so many years.
3. Chair Pocket Desk
This has been my "go-to" product for those wiggly students who have trouble with executive functioning skills for YEARS. What I've done is flip their "traditional desk" and put their important materials in this. However, instead of using it for just one or two students, I've seen this used to the whole class when the teacher uses tables instead of desks. It helps with clutter. The only thing I would warn is not to make it too heavy. We've had some that have ripped.
