1. Magnetic Letters
I recently started tutoring again and I needed some materials to work on some Orton-Gillingham strategies with my student. These magnetic letters are great for some multi-sensory encoding practice! My student loved them! They come in an organized box with stickers to put on each square for faster cleanup. I love that the vowels and consonants are different colors. That will come in handy for syllabication when the time comes! My only complaint is when you don't keep the box straight in storage the letters fall which can get annoying.

2. Doodlejamz JellyBoard
Another great tool for supporting the Orton-Gillingham approach! Since I tutor at my student's home, I really didn't want to carry a sand tray back and forth but I still needed that extra multi-sensory step for the 3 part drill. This tool is the perfect substitution. My student LOVED it! It's small and light enough to carry back and forth.

3. Orton-Gillingham Notebook
If you teach using the OG practices and need a notebook for your student that is an all in one spot for the encoding portion this notebook is for you! It is SO organized! It has a spot for red words, word dictation, letter/feature practice and sentence dictation. This would be a perfect notebook to bring to meetings to show parents student progress. Highly recommend!
